Best weeks of my life. Beautiful hikes, fantastic staff, and the AMAZING FOOD. The rooms can't be beat; comfortable beds, cozy fireplace, and huge bathroom with x-large soaking tub. It's impossible to stay here and not have an amazing experience. Nice neighborhood that's secluded and pretty but close to local conveniences like pharmacy, movies, etc. I noticed some negative reviews with little to no content - these are obviously fake reviews. The staff here work so hard and treat you like family. Can't recommend enough.
Great food great rooms great for weight loss and healthy living
My husband called and reserved a month stay after receiving an email last winter as a gift to me. I had previously been to Fitness Ridge (owned at one time by the current owner of WellFit Zion) in St. George and really enjoyed my stay. So he made a reservation to surprise me. Boy! Was I surprised....It took forever to find the place in an older residential neighborhood in St. George. There was no signage and the parking lot was unkempt and empty. I was immediately taken aback - no signage, dingy-looking and a run-down hodge podge of a place. I found out it used to be Green Valley Resort back in the day (1970's and 80's) and was being leased out piece meal to several different entities - WellFit, Amira Resort (boutique hotel) and a community pool . I arrived on the scheduled date and time and there was no one to greet me or help me get oriented. I was told to come back later in the day. I could go on and on about the waste of money and time I spent at this location but here is the abbreviated version. I was sold a bill of goods that they did not deliver. In the documentation and website it showed YOGA, personalized diet and exercise attention, etc. There was no yoga. Apparently the instructor quit/was fired the morning of my arrival. There was never a new yoga instructor hired during the duration of my 4 week stay. There was no morning stretch instructor during the first three weeks - the classes were taught by another program attendee who had been there for two months and volunteered. The rooms actually belong to another resort and WellFit rents them from the resort. I had no housekeeping the first week until I mentioned it and asked for someone to clean the room. The food was good the first week then steadily declined to almost inedible by week 4. The "seminars" are the same each week and no personalization or interest in your specific needs. If you want any guidance, you need to pay an $100+ hourly rate to one of the hired "consultants". There is no one there during the day on staff to address anything other than the front desk phone and standard scheduled exercise classes. Cliff, the Fitness Manager, spent most of his time textingon his phone and not addressing the needs of the FOUR attendees (that's how many paying customers were there during my stay). Several of them were there for significant weight and fitness issues and were not using equipment safely or properly and he never intervened to stop them or show them the correct method. I have worked with personal trainers for years but it was not my place to intervene. I did on one occasion stop someone before she hurt herself. Tennis Courts and Racquetball Courts available but no equipment to use. I actually went out and bought my own so I would have something to do. The only activity after dinner is a jigsaw puzzle on the table in the lobby. Nothing was organized for the guests. The only thing I enjoyed during the entire stay was the Hiking in the beautiful areas surrounding the resort. Even that was ruined when the owner (who by the way, NEVER had a single conversation with me or showed any interest in my progress during the entire 4 weeks of my stay even though the maximum number of guests during that time was SIX) decided to just fire the amazing hiking company (Green Valley Hiking) and use her daughter (the massage therapist who was actually very good), the fitness manager and random people that she could pull in to "guide" on hikes. The people in the ad are not from WellFit Zion (they are old photos from her now defunct Wellfit Malibu) and the reviews are not from any people that I personally saw there during my stay from March 18 to April 8, 2018. I would do some research. There are much better places to spend your money on a fitness vacation in St. George. The reviews on here are very interesting - Laura Goldman was a guest during my stay and "invited" by the resort to write reviews and "advertorial" about her stay, David Norton is one of the owners, Anne Coleman is an employee and "guest", and Shabree Johnson is owner's daughter.
The experience is first class! I've been in the spa and health industry for 20 years and this place has it all! Anyone looking to improve thier overall life, this is the place for you! The rooms are exceptional! They also have a spa offering all modalities from aesthetics, massage, emotional work and sound healing ti name a few! The food is prepared by an exceptional chef and all three meals are included in your stay! The classes are growth oriented and very insightful. They provide daily hikes in the most beautiful places including snow canyon, as well as Zions National Park. The owner and staff were all fantastic! They have an inviting personality, yet experienced in their fields of interests. Check them out. ....oh! Not to forget the most exquisiye views of st George and the southern Utah sky!
The folks at Nets on Fire are amazing! They teach hard work and determination..... Oh ya and basketball!
