All I needed was 4 walls, a bed and WiFi and I wasnt choosy, but still ended up disappointed. Took me an hour to get connected on the internet and it was spotty after that. The room was clean but a little run down and the grounds were a dive. You could do a lot better without spending much more
If you brush our particular experience aside with customer service, the place deserves a 4/5. It's a Days' Inn, not some Vegas strip penthouse, so you get what you pay for. Their basics, however, are great! We appreciated having a fridge, and microwave. The AC was nice and cold which is crucial around this time of year in southern Utah. They have a really snarky sign (in a positive way) which essentially states that everything in the room is available for "purchase" (if you walk out with it). I presume they've had some issues with theft in the past. The breakfast was a little less than expected, but not bad. Your typical waffle makers, some yogurt and cereal, toast, and a few hot food items. The pool area is decent for a small hotel like this, though the hot tub is tiny. Our qualm comes from the customer service. The attendants seemed miffed at our existence, like they couldn't wait for us to leave so they could sit down and watch more YouTube or something. And trust me, my family isn't full of needy or talkative people; I want to get in and out as much as anyone else. In addition, my spouse went down later in the day to ask for an item and the guy at the desk- a heavier-set, bearded man- treated her like she was some criminal, interrogating her as to why she needed it, and whether she was staying there, then acted like it was the biggest inconvenience of his life to reach under a desk and grab something for her. Maybe he was having a bad day, and I'll try and give him the benefit of the doubt. Staff and positions change enough that we wouldn't mind coming here again, but hopefully the next employees we encounter will have more customer service in mind.
There were no working lights in the corridors, the soda machine dispenses warm sodas, there were bugs in the ice machine, our room had used bottles of bath products in it.. aside from that the room was clean, the man at the desk was reasonably polite, and the breakfast was as expected. If you're not picky and just looking for a cheap place to stay, this is the place for you.
The rooms were quaint and clean but updated. If you are looking for a modest room at a good price this is great option. There is a small pool and a jacuzzi that are also maintained, as well as continental breakfast in the mornings.
Our room smelled awful and did not give a good first impression. The room felt pretty outdated, which made it feel unclean. It could really use some fresh decor, paint, and modern fixtures. If you have any more than 2 people in a 2-queen room, you're going to feel pretty cramped. But there's not much the hotel can really do about that. The shower and toilet were recently replaced/remodeled, which was nice, and the TV was new enough (LCD, not an old CRT type). The continental breakfast was good enough: nothing spectacular but enough to get you started for the day.As others have noted: for the price, this place is fine for a one-night stopover. I would not want to stay for more than a day.
