This isnt much about the school but about the secretary, the officer and counseling ladies. They are very rude, and extremely disrespectful. When I first signed up for dixie, the registrar lady (Jamie Bauman) told me I couldnt have myself signed into the school without this and that, but wouldnt tell me what I needed to get into the school, she also laughed at my mom when she asked her for my records, which is my information that she is withholding for a $14 dollar fine and claims she wont relase anything until its paid. When I asked to talk to Mr. Brooks she laughed again and put me on hold. it was almost like her go to. Every time I would go into the office for help, I didnt feel like I was getting help, I felt like they didnt care and didnt bother to make me feel welcome. Very unhelpful and unpleasant and she makes you feel dumb. The officer at dixie likes to say false information about other students, causing unwanted drama and unnecessary rumors. He has been known for telling other kids confidential information about other students as well, such he has done to me. I would not recommend this high school, I never once felt safe in the environment they have created for themselves and not to mention when I got bullied and when a few other kids got bullied they did nothing to step up and stop it. Its not ideal for your kids to be surrounded by adults and parents who dont know how to act like ones.

Great school, full of opportunities for everyone. Clean campus and semi-full of teachers who care.

I have loved having my children attend this high school. It has a lot of extracurricular programs. My daughter loves their welding program. They offer several language programs and numerous scholarship opportunities. I especially LOVE the Air Force JROTC program where the teens can take classes on aviation science, leadership, etc., and even get their pilots license while learning self disciple, respect, service, responsibility, and impeccable grooming, all with high academic expectations (they can't go on their amazing field trips if they don't have good grades). They have a swimming pool on sight and offer every sport you can think of. Even though we're moving in a few weeks to a new home, I've been so impressed with this school that we'll be driving our 4 secondary school students an hour each way down to St George to stay at this school! That's how impressed I am!!!

dixie high school sucks my student did not have any freedom she had to stay with this really rude teacher named Mrs. Requa

I went to the Dixie schools for only 8 months at most (end of 9th grade beginning of 10th) there are a few things I would say good about it. The amount of options for class are great. The cleanliness of the school is great. But thats about it. Only a few teachers there were nice to EVERYONE and treated EVERYONE equally. Most of the teachers and kids are Pretentious and unless your doing a sport or the super smart kid this school doesnt care about you. My counselor lied to me about online schooling options,The receptionist called me a liar, and when you talk to these people you just feel them judging you. The kids are the same way if you are not Mormon or Christian forget about having friends. This school just seems to have a majority of rude judgemental people. Reason I switched to online and dropping out then getting my ged instead of going all through high school.
