This park is nice. The keepers seriously need to consider getting rid of the raw areas on the lawn. Burn the larger weed areas off, fertilize the soil where you burned, and plant new seeds around early spring. Make sure to restrict the newly planted grass areas to prevent trampling. Trust me, your lawn needs this care!
Great for a family event or frisbee golf...hidden gem.
Very fun 18 hole disk golf course. We played while traveling thru from out of town. Had we known more we would have started at the last 9 due to pushing a stroller. The last 9 are a more simple park style course. The first 9 holes are offroading. (Without a stroller, I definitely prefer the first 9) Awesome long distance open range shots.)
Mathis Park is beautiful in the Spring! We found a frog and enjoyed the playground and green spaces. It was a great venue for the kids' Spring Hand Craft Fair!
Fun, clean park with lots of trees for shade. Large grass area for playing soccer etc, tucked back away from traffic so you don't need to worry about cars.
